The electric mist eliminator is a gas-liquid separation dehumidification equipment with small fluid resistance, which can be used for smelting flue gas for acid production, titanium dioxide calcination tail gas treatment, and various acid mist treatment in chemical plants. Electric demisters are mostly used in industries such as sulfuric acid.

The working principle of stainless steel electric dust collector: through electrostatic control equipment and DC high voltage generating equipment, the AC power is converted into DC power and sent to the demister equipment, which is formed between the corona wire (cathode) and the acid mist trapping plate (anode) The powerful electric field causes the air molecules to be ionized, and a lot of electrons and positive and negative ions occur in an instant. These electrons and ions make a directional movement under the effect of the electric field force, forming a medium for capturing acid mist. Together, the acid mist particles are charged, and these charged acid mist particles make a directional movement under the effect of the electric field force, reaching the anode plate that captures the acid mist. After that, the charged particles release electrons on the polar plate, so the acid mist is collected and flows into the acid storage tank of the acid mist eliminator under the effect of gravity, so that the purpose of purifying the acid mist is achieved.

There are many types of electric demisters, including vertical, horizontal, multi-tube and wire-plate types.

Since the electric demister is generally in an acidic atmosphere, it is necessary to use materials with better corrosion protection. Commonly used raw materials are three types of lead, hard PVC and FRP. Among them, the application of lead electrostatic demister has a long history. There are also many raw materials for the cathode corona wire of the defogger, such as nickel-chromium steel wire covered with lead, titanium-palladium alloy wire, titanium wire, etc.

When the electric defogger is in operation, an uneven electric field occurs between the Yin, Yang, and North and South poles, so it is required that both the North and South poles can conduct electricity. Generally, the electrostatic defogger of non-metallic materials such as glass fiber reinforced plastic or polyvinyl chloride adopts the method of conducting by means of a liquid film; it can also be a conductive glass fiber reinforced by mixing glass fiber reinforced plastic and graphite, or a method of adding a layer of carbon fiber mat to the inner layer of glass fiber reinforced plastic anode To solve the conduction problem.

The anode tube sheet of electric defogger is mainly made of plastic, lead and conductive glass steel. Because the plastic electric demister is conductive by liquid film, the effective precipitation area changes greatly, the operating voltage and current are low, and the effect is not as good as the latter two; Light weight, low price, outstanding comprehensive functions and other advantages. The conductive glass fiber reinforced plastic electric defogger mainly has the indexes of processing gas volume, total pressure drop and outlet acid mist.
